Donate to City of Asylum
Thanks to your generosity, City of Asylum continues to provide safety to exiled writers here in Pittsburgh. We are able to respond to the growing surge in attacks on freedom of expression globally because we can rely on friends like you who continue to support our mission.
City of Asylum is the largest exiled writer sanctuary in the world. Currently there are 6 different writers and families living on Sampsonia Way. Almost 10% of the exiled writers in the entire 80-city International Cities of Refuge Network are in Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh is also the only program in the world that is not funded by governments or universities.
You make it possible for us to provide a safe home to persecuted writers and artists.
Currently, a wonderful neighborhood couple has pledged $40,000 to the campaign as a challenge, which means if we can raise $60,000 by May 1, they will donate the additional funds we need to meet our $100,000 goal.
Please make your gift today to help us raise an additional $40,000 to secure the new challenge grant.
Thank you for supporting our mission.
City of Asylum is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution. Our EIN is 20-2810099.
