'Associate' Episode 3 presented by RealTime InterventionsMonday, October 26, 2020 @ 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM
Streamed on City of Asylum’s Virtual Channel. (run-time 75 minutes)
RealTime will host another swim in the subconscious with Episode 3 of the new crowdsourced creative experience, ASSOCIATE! We’ll feature four award-winning artists who will use free association to mine their subconscious in real time, with help from you, the online audience!
Equal parts talk show, game show, happening and salon, ASSOCIATE brings artists and audience together in the process of creation, in real time.
We’ll start with some association lightening rounds, giving the audience a chance to get in on the creative action. Then we’ll showcase an original work from three of the artists, exploring the role that the subconscious had in its creation. And at the end of the hour, the fourth artist— the Prime Associator!— will return with a work inspired by all of our associations, and unveil their brand-new work created for and with YOU!
ASSOCIATE Episode 3’s “associators” include playwright Cori Thomas (writer of City Theater’s Citizens Market and When January Feels Like Summer) ; international eco-fashion designer and nonfiction writer Tereneh Idia; visual artist Zena Ruiz; and poet, playwright and performance artist Kim El!
