In honor of International Women’s Month, Brooklyn-based Hip Hop artist Nejma Nefertiti has curated Valley of the Queens: Artist Exhibition – an international showcase featuring an eccentric line-up of prolific emcees, poets, theater artists, dancers, singers, musical composers, and revolutionaries exhibiting their many talents in virtual vignettes. Nejma invites you to enter the Valley, witness representation of ancestral cultures, artistries, and to experience the modern griots of our time.
Tonight is the world premiere music video of Nejma Nefertiti’s song “Ya Habibi Pt. 2,” a song dedicated to the beloved, that rejuvenates, honors, and celebrates the continuation of passionate free expression.
Nejma Nefertiti is a Brooklyn-based Hip Hop artist, sound designer, creator of natural perfumes “Temple of NeJ,” and streetwear architect at Maroon Couture. She is a daughter of many lands, from Iran, to North Africa, with Indigenous American roots. Nejma Nefertiti is an “Art Equals Politics” social justice educator, utilizing Hip Hop and technology as cultural weapons to empower, uplift, inspire, and unite, both youth and elders, the oppressed, and for the freedom of all political prisoners.
